Heading out on the Dubai Metro today? Grab a free ice cream treat. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of the emirate is distributing ice cream cones at two Metro stations on July 10 and July 11. The available flavors include Chocolate, cookies and cream, butterscotch, cotton candy, and vanilla, as revealed in a teaser video shared by the authority on Tuesday.
Here are the locations and timings: Mashreq and Ibn Battuta Metro Stations from 11am to 1pm on July 10, and Equiti and Onpassive Metro Stations at 11am. Free ice cream has become a popular trend in the Emirates as the summer heat intensifies, with temperatures soaring to a record 50.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Notably, workers and delivery riders can enjoy popsicles and cold drinks daily from ice cream trucks operated by volunteers.
