Actor Gal Gadot is set to star in the upcoming action thriller The Runner. According to Deadline, the film will be directed by Kevin Macdonald and is set in London. Amazon MGM Studios has secured the worldwide rights to the movie, which was developed and will be produced by David Kosse under his new venture, Rockwood Pictures. Renowned filmmaker Macdonald, known for films like One to One: John & Yoko, The Last King of Scotland, The Mauritanian, State of Play, and Whitney, is directing from a script by Mark Gibson (The Wild, Snow Dogs). In the film, Gadot will portray a high-powered attorney who races through London, following cryptic commands from a mysterious caller, as she battles against time to save her abducted son. The Wonder Woman star's recent credits include Netflix's Red Notice and Heart of Stone, the latter marking the Hollywood debut of Bollywood star Alia Bhatt. Gadot will also be seen as the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action Snow White, set for a US release on March 21, 2025. Additionally, she recently finished filming In the Hand of Dante directed by Julian Schnabel and has several projects in development under her production company, Pilot Wave, alongside her partner Jaron Varsano.
