The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has declared a four-day holiday break for National Day, commencing on Saturday. Normal operations are set to resume on Wednesday, December 4, with emergency services continuing to operate around the clock at Dubai International Airport, Terminal 3, as stated on X.

Additionally, GDRFA has urged individuals with outstanding visa violations to rectify their status before the amnesty period concludes on December 31. Last month, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security extended the UAE visa amnesty program by two months, pushing the new deadline to December 31. Initially slated to end on October 31, the program, which commenced on September 1, has seen thousands of residents utilize this window to legalize their visa status, with government bodies forgiving millions in fines for overstayers.
