“Gilmore Girls” enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement as the beloved TV series' stars hint at a possible comeback. Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, and Sean Gunn — who portrayed Lorelai Gilmore, Luke Danes, and Kirk Gleason, respectively — took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing images from the show’s set that suggest “something really special” is on the way on December 3. Patterson’s post featured a coffee mug on the counter of Luke’s diner, with the actor urging fans to “tune in 12/3.” Gunn, on the other hand, shared a photo of the Stars Hollow gazebo, teasing “Kirk’s 63rd job? Find out on 12/3.” Graham’s Instagram story included a snow-covered Stars Hollow street, hinting at “something brewing.”

The Stars Hollow set, located on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, California, remains intact. All posts included the hashtag #WalmartPartner, leading fans to speculate that the actors might be promoting a Walmart commercial, possibly related to a Gilmore-themed coffee product. While some fans expressed disappointment, others were eager to visit their local Walmart. Many, however, hoped the posts signaled a “Gilmore Girls” reunion and the possibility of new episodes.

Fans’ reactions ranged from excitement to frustration. “The Gilmore Girls cast posting about Gilmore Girls in the year 2024… I’m so up,” one person wrote on X. “Ughhhhh I don’t want a f–king Walmart commercial. I want to know what happens to Rory and Logan!!! And Luke and Lorelei!!!!!!!” another fan lamented. Some fans were optimistic, comparing the situation to last year’s “Mean Girls” Walmart commercials.

Others were thrilled at the prospect of a Walmart-“Gilmore Girls” collaboration, hoping for a Luke’s Diner coffee line. Many fans expressed hope for a cast reunion. Walmart responded to fans’ inquiries about where to tune in on December 3, stating, “Coming to TV & social media near you!” “Gilmore Girls” originally aired in 2000 on the WB, before the network rebranded as the CW. The series finale aired in 2007, with the 2016 Netflix four-parter picking up the story nine years later.
