Global Village is preparing to host a remarkable celebration of the UAE’s 53rd National Day from November 25 to December 4, 2024. The event will feature an array of spectacular cultural performances, dazzling fireworks, drone shows, and unique dining experiences, all designed to showcase the nation’s unity and pride.
The outdoor venue will be adorned with iconic decorations and lighting displays, highlighting the vibrant colors of the UAE flag. This festive atmosphere will create an unparalleled celebration, bringing the spirit of the union to life. From November 29 to December 3, a nightly fireworks display, mirroring the colors of the UAE flag, will light up the sky at 9pm. On December 2, visitors will be treated to a special drone show, providing an immersive experience.
A standout event will be the grand theatrical operetta 'Hawa Emarati,' performed from December 1 to 3 on the park's main stage. With over 40 artists, the operetta will guide audiences through nine captivating scenes, illustrating an Emirati wedding against the backdrop of the UAE’s formation in 1971. The performances, featuring traditional costumes, songs, and dances with a modern twist, will take place twice daily at 7.05pm and 9.40pm.
Guests can also relish live performances by Emirati bands such as Liwa and Harbiyah, adding a rhythmic cultural touch to the festivities across the park. Additionally, Global Village will offer exclusive shopping opportunities, including unique National Day souvenirs at pavilions like the UAE Pavilion, the 971 Pavilion, and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation Pavilion. The Heritage Village, managed by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre, will showcase authentic Emirati handicrafts, allowing visitors to connect with the nation’s cultural heritage.
Food enthusiasts can indulge in traditional Emirati cuisine at various kiosks, including popular dishes like luqaimat and Regag bread.
