Godzilla might soon make an appearance in a brand-new setting: Fortnite. A recent report suggests that the King of the Monsters will be part of an upcoming collaboration for the massively popular game, alongside the entire MonsterVerse. Well-known Fortnite leaker Shiina shared on X that they've confirmed "Godzilla is coming to Fortnite," supporting an earlier post by SamLeaks that hinted at a MonsterVerse collaboration also coming to Rocket League.
It remains unclear what exactly this potential crossover might involve. Godzilla could be introduced as a skin—perhaps alongside King Kong—or perhaps the kaiju could make random appearances across the map during matches. If anything, Godzilla is most likely to be featured in the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6, which is set to launch on December 1. Before that, Fortnite will host a Chapter 5 and Remix Finale event featuring Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD.
Earlier this week, Epic Games discussed the decision to bring Juice WRLD to Fortnite, considering the musician passed away in 2019. Just yesterday, Fortnite introduced the ability for players' skins to wear Jordan sneakers, with other shoe options also available as part of Fortnite Kicks. Epic Games aims for Fortnite Kicks to be compatible with around 95% of in-game skins by Spring 2025.
As for Godzilla, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the kaiju. To celebrate, Super7 has released a new Godzilla Minus One collectible toy figure. Fans can also stream Godzilla Minus One at home, either by renting it on a service like Prime Video or watching it as part of a Netflix membership.
