The contestants on “The Golden Bachelorette” are the kind of people who take time to appreciate the little things in life — something that Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts truly appreciate. Recently, the stars of “The Golden Bachelor” shared their thoughts on the men vying for Joan Vassos’s affection this season. “What I admire about these men is that they’ve shown their true selves, their vulnerable side, and they’ve been very emotional. They’re genuine, and that’s what I love the most,” Noles enthusiastically told The Post at Warner Brothers’ Fall TV Season Celebration. “Last night was a bittersweet moment, but the little strip dance they performed, which pushed them out of their comfort zones, was something we all had to face. We didn’t strip, but we understood the challenge!”
Noles can relate, as her journey on “The Golden Bachelor” marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life. “It transformed us, making us more confident,” Noles continued. “I rediscovered my own worth. I’m incredibly thankful, and I believe it’s doing the same for each of those men. Those who left the show are leaving with a renewed sense of self-belief, knowing that their journey isn’t over.” “They seem like wonderful guys,” Swarts added. “They’re vulnerable, and you can see they’re eager — they’re at a stage in life where they’ve had significant experiences, highs and lows, just like us. It’s heartwarming to see that men also seek happiness.”
“At our age, you stop fretting over trivial matters. You accept yourself as you are, you love yourself. I cherish every day. I wake up grateful for the life I have,” Swarts shared. These days, the ladies are keeping busy with their “Golden Hour” podcast. Noles and Swarts ensure their conversations on the mic are as vibrant as ever. “We discuss relationships, dating, and life. Nothing is off-limits,” Swarts revealed. “People send in wonderful questions, and we love knowing we’re making a positive impact on their lives. Even bringing a little happiness to someone having a tough day feels great.”
Of course, the women were more than happy to offer their advice on finding love, both on and off the air. “Never give up,” Noles urged. “Never give up,” Swarts echoed. “My advice is, don’t just sit on the sofa. Whoever you’re looking for — Mr. Right or Mrs. Right — won’t just show up at your door. Get off the sofa and get involved. Go out and do things.” The podcasters have a clear idea of what they’re looking for in their ideal partner. “Above ground!” Swarts joked, to which Noles teased, “Breathing!” “Maybe with most of his teeth,” Swarts added playfully. But seriously, Noles admitted, “Someone with a warm heart and a fun personality. You need to be able to laugh at life’s little moments.” “I want someone who enjoys every day, who can laugh with me, and who’s up for adventures and travel,” Swarts said.
Despite not finding a partner during Gerry Turner’s season, Swarts and Noles discovered a different kind of love: friendship. “We’re inseparable,” Noles said about their bond from Season 1. Swarts added, “It’s exactly what you see with these strong friendships on the show. And we still know each other deeply. At this stage in our lives, forming friendships like this is truly remarkable.”
