In commemoration of Pakistan's 77th Independence Day, a grand event is scheduled to take place in Dubai on August 11. The festivities will be hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing an audience of approximately 10,000. The program will be a colorful display of cultural acts, musical performances, and traditional events that highlight the Pakistani community's rich culture and their significant contributions to the UAE's progress.
This celebration underscores the UAE's commitment to promoting international collaboration, tolerance, and a peaceful coexistence where various cultures harmonize. Attending the event will be Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, alongside other diplomats and notable members of the Pakistani community.
The event is jointly organized by the 'Emirates Loves Pakistan' initiative in partnership with the Pakistan Association Dubai, Dubai Police, and Dubai World Trade Centre. It serves as a testament to the enduring friendship and profound connections between the UAE and Pakistan, which have been fortified since the establishment by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1971. Currently, these bonds are more robust than ever, supported by strategic alliances and growing economic partnerships. The UAE stands as Pakistan's foremost trading partner and largest investor, having pledged $10 billion to promising sectors in Pakistan.
