In July, Fever, the live-entertainment discovery platform, announced a groundbreaking Andy Warhol exhibition set to debut in Dubai. This exhibition, titled ‘The Glam Factory’, is scheduled to run from September 20 to October 31, 2024, and will feature a collection of Warhol's iconic works created between 1954 and 1987. Attendees will have the opportunity to view his most renowned pieces, such as the Marilyn Monroe portraits, and understand how Warhol's distinctive style revolutionized the art scene in the 20th century.

As the exhibition approaches, more details have emerged about this grand event, which will showcase some of the most iconic pieces in pop art history, right here in Dubai. Warhol, who interacted with numerous influential figures across various fields, from entertainment and sports to historical personalities, will be presented through previously unseen images from his encounters with these legends. The exhibition will include original memorabilia from his network, such as an autographed Michael Jackson guitar, Muhammad Ali's heavyweight champion belt, Polaroids, magazine covers, and vintage photos of iconic figures like Liz Taylor, Diana Ross, Yoko Ono, Karl Lagerfeld, Princess Caroline of Monaco, and The Beatles.

Nada Ghandour, the curator of ‘The Glam Factory’, expressed her excitement about curating the exhibition, highlighting Warhol's enduring impact on global audiences. She believes that visitors will gain a deeper appreciation for his work and its lasting relevance, especially his commentary on consumerism and celebrity culture. The exhibition will also explore Warhol's early career as an illustrator, his commercial art, and the evolution of his iconic status. Additionally, it will feature recreations of Warhol's famous studio, ‘The Silver Factory’, complete with aluminium walls, showcasing his most iconic screen prints, including the Marilyn Monroe series.

The event will be held at Foundry, a hybrid art space in Boulevard, Downtown Dubai. This exhibition not only celebrates Warhol's artistic brilliance but also traces his profound influence on modern art and society. Beyond the art, the exhibition offers an immersive journey into Warhol's world, with retro-style rooms capturing the essence of his creative vision, including the interactive Studio 54 room that transports visitors to 1970s New York nightlife.

Whether you are a seasoned fan or new to pop art, this exhibition presents a unique opportunity to connect with one of history's greatest artists. Don’t miss the chance to experience it firsthand in the heart of Downtown Dubai from September 18 to October 31.
