Pep Guardiola has hinted that 'anything can happen' regarding his future, as Roy Keane urges the Football Association to consider the Manchester City manager. Guardiola, who has secured six Premier League titles and the Champions League since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, is set to see his contract expire at the end of the current season. The 53-year-old recently emphasized his 'deep' affection for the club and has not dismissed the possibility of extending his stay, but no concrete decisions have been made amid speculation linking him to the England manager's role after Gareth Southgate.

'Leaving City? It's not true, I haven't decided yet,' Guardiola stated during an appearance on the Italian TV show Che Tempo Che Fa, as reported by Sky Italia. 'And it is not even true that I will be the next England coach. If I had decided, I would say it... I don't know either, anything can happen.'

ITV pundit Keane believes England should wait and see if Guardiola is a viable candidate. Speaking after interim manager Lee Carsley led the team to a 3-1 Nations League victory over Finland in Helsinki, Keane commented: 'The FA have to go for the best guy, whatever. Go for the best. Pep's contract is up in the summer.'
