Yesterday, heavy rain accompanied by hail provided a welcome respite from the intense heat, prompting the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) to issue yellow and orange alerts in certain areas. Abu Dhabi police advised drivers to adjust their speeds according to the changing conditions and to adhere to safety protocols.

A video posted by Storm Centre on Instagram captured lightning striking the Al-Qua Razin area. The NCM also reported similar weather conditions on Tuesday in Gasyoura, part of the Al Dhafra region. Today, the weather forecast indicates a mix of partly cloudy to fully cloudy skies, with potential for convective cloud formation in the eastern and southern regions. Winds are expected to be light to moderate, occasionally strong enough to cause dust storms during the day.

The sea conditions are predicted to be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea, according to the NCM. Winds are forecasted to blow in a southeasterly to northwesterly direction, with speeds potentially reaching 35kmph in inland, coastal areas, and islands, and up to 40kmph in mountainous regions.
