Heavy rainfall postponed the coin toss and posed a threat to the initial day of the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on Friday. Both squads remained at their hotel, with umpires scheduled to assess the field once the rain ceased, according to the meteorological office's prediction of sporadic monsoon showers. This was an unfavorable sign for the Pakistan team, eager to level the two-game series after Bangladesh's victory in the first Test, also held in Rawalpindi, on Sunday. Bangladesh achieved their first win in 14 Tests against Pakistan with a 10-wicket triumph. Pakistan's 12-member team does not include fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who has been given leave to be with his newborn son.
