On Sunday evening, certain regions in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi encountered intense showers and hail, while temperatures in other parts of the UAE remained above 40 degrees Celsius.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) had forecasted generally clear conditions for the day, with occasional partly cloudy skies and a possibility of rain in some areas.

In social media updates, the weather department reported heavy rain accompanied by hail in Al Shiwayb, Al Ain, and significant rainfall in East Al Madam, Sharjah.

A yellow alert for rain, wind, and dust was issued by the NCM for Sunday, effective from 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This alert cautions about the formation of convective clouds with rain and strong winds reaching speeds of 40 km/hour, resulting in dust storms and reducing horizontal visibility to less than 3,000 meters in some eastern areas.
