Anticipating a significant influx of travelers during the Eid Al Adha holidays and summer season, Dubai International (DXB) airport is experiencing heavy traffic, particularly during this weekend's 'peak periods' and the following days. Travelers are urged to allocate additional time for their journeys and consider using the Dubai Metro for travel to and from the airport, as well as for transfers between Terminals 1 and 3 to circumvent road congestion. DXB has projected over 3.7 million visitors between June 12 and 25, with daily passenger averages reaching 264,000, and a peak of over 287,000 expected on June 22. During the busy summer travel season, only passengers are permitted inside the airport, with recommendations to bid farewells at home. Access to the arrivals' forecourts in Terminals 1 and 3 is limited to public transport and authorized airport vehicles to prevent private vehicle congestion. Passengers can utilize the Dubai Metro, which serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and is allowed to bring two pieces of luggage on board. Emirates passengers can benefit from the airline's home and city check-in services, followed by a metro ride to the airport. Flydubai passengers are advised to arrive four hours before departure, while passengers of other airlines should aim to arrive no more than three hours prior and utilize online check-in when available.
