Jean Pereira and Aditi Menon, college friends from India, reconnected in Dubai after Aditi's move from the US. Both were seeking jobs that balanced family life and career, having worked in event management. They felt the pressure of modern motherhood and the need for support, especially in a city like Dubai where expats manage demanding schedules away from home support. They launched Helpily, an initiative to honor domestic helpers, with a gala called 'Shine & Dine: Honouring our Domestic Heroes'. The event, attended by 150 nannies, aimed to rejuvenate and motivate them. Jean and Aditi plan to expand Helpily with more events and training opportunities for domestic helpers.
