Hilton is poised to significantly expand its footprint in Egypt, with plans to open 25 hotels across the country, including over ten new properties under its global hospitality brands. This ambitious growth strategy positions Hilton to exceed 40 operating hotels in Egypt in the coming years. Among the new signings are the introduction of Hilton’s lifestyle brand, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, to the African continent, Egypt’s first Curio Collection by Hilton, and an all-inclusive resort under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. Additionally, the highly anticipated Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi, set to open in early 2025, will offer contemporary rooms with breathtaking views of the Nile and the Pyramids.

Commenting on Hilton’s expansion in Egypt, Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development for the Middle East & Africa (MEA), said: “Egypt has been our longest-standing market in the MEA region, where we’ve been operating for over 60 years. We are thrilled to build on this legacy as we accelerate our growth and work closely with our partners to provide guests with exceptional stays across the country. The introduction of our lifestyle brands marks a significant milestone, enabling guests to fully experience the rich cultural offerings Egypt has to share.”

Hilton has signed three agreements with Concord Co. for Tourist Development S.A.E and Africa for Real Estate Investment, paving the way for the debut of its lifestyle brands, Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton, in Egypt. Several hotels within Hilton’s Egypt portfolio are currently undergoing renovations to modernize their interiors, including Ramses Hilton, Hilton Pyramids Golf, and Hilton Cairo Heliopolis. In Marsa Alam, Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort will undergo an extensive refurbishment, adding 66 guest rooms and suites. Meanwhile, DoubleTree by Hilton Sharm El Sheikh - Sharks Bay Resort is undergoing a full renovation, with the first phase of 270 guest rooms expected to be completed by June 2025.

Hilton’s expanding portfolio in Egypt is set to create over 5,000 new job opportunities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to positively impacting local communities and fostering talent development. Most recently, Hilton launched its own hospitality school in Egypt, collaborating with academic institutions and universities to train and recruit the next generation of hospitality professionals.
