Horizon Zero Dawn is speeding towards a 'remastered' makeover. The seven-year-old open-world action-adventure game is set to receive an upgrade this October, with a new version launching for PlayStation 5 and PC. Sony revealed Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered during its State of Play livestream, showcasing its enhanced visuals and other updates.
According to the presentation, the remastered edition boasts graphical enhancements to align with the quality of its successor, Horizon Forbidden West from 2022. Check out the trailer below. In terms of visuals, Zero Dawn will feature new shaders and textures, improved character models, and over 10 hours of re-recorded conversation motion capture, indicating substantial improvements in dialogue and interactions.
The game will also leverage Sony's DualSense controllers, incorporating adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, along with Sony's 3D audio technology. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is slated for release on October 31. If you already own the original Horizon Zero Dawn, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for just $10.
