Planning a birthday bash? Or perhaps you've just graduated and want to mark the occasion with friends? Whatever the celebration, if you're aiming to host a party in Abu Dhabi, securing a private party permit is essential. This permit can be applied for by the registered company organizing your event, be it a restaurant, hotel, or event organizers in the UAE. The process is straightforward and can be completed on the Tamm portal in just a few steps. After logging in, filling out the application with the necessary documents, and settling the fees, the permit will be issued within 3 working days. Here’s a rundown of the required documents, fees, and some key points to remember.

Required Documents:

1. Letter detailing the activities planned.

2. Contract or NOC between the event organizer and the venue owner.

3. Valid passport or Emirates ID.

Fees:

1. Monthly fee per entertainer - AED 500.

2. Private party permit request fee - AED 350.

3. 10% of the ticket fee will be collected (if tickets are sold).

Points to Note:

1. If alcohol is to be served, a special permit is mandatory (for venues without a special license).

2. Attendees must be over 21 years old (in night clubs or bars).

3. An entertainer permit is required if there are entertainers (singers, performers, any other artists). While the entertainer permit is valid from one to six months, a temporary entertainer permit, valid for unlimited entertainers for 7 days, can also be applied for.

4. Private parties can only sell tickets if organized by an event organizer.

5. Weddings, engagement ceremonies, and condolences ceremonies do not require a permit.

6. Applications for speakers cannot be submitted along with the private party permit. Entertainers need a separate permit.
