The fifth edition of the Ibiza JoySail regatta is set to return to the Balearic Islands from 18 to 21 September 2025. Registration will commence in January and will be by invitation only, mirroring the format of the previous edition.
The fourth edition, which took place last month, saw eighteen superyachts navigate through unpredictable winds and challenging routes, rounding key landmarks such as Formentera, Espardell Nature Park, and the island of Es Vedrá. Among the top performers were Moat, L'Hippocampe, Bliss, Gelliceaux, Open Season, and Maximus, who were celebrated during a prize-giving ceremony on the final day.
Race director Nacho Postigo commented, "This race is not just about the action on the sea, but also a fantastic blend of water and land activities, which participants truly enjoy. What's remarkable is the strong interaction among all the yachts. Here, we are all like family and friends."
This year's event also marked a milestone with the inclusion of the largest competitor to date: the 59-metre Maximus, delivered by Dutch shipyard Vitters in 2023.
