The renowned 70.7-meter Lürssen superyacht Skat has docked at Oceanco's facilities in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for a comprehensive refit. The project will involve significant aesthetic upgrades to both the interior and exterior, including the addition of 35 new windows, enhancing the yacht's extensive use of glass. Skat will also undergo technical upgrades, such as the installation of three new generators equipped with a full exhaust gas treatment system. Originally delivered in 2002 with a distinctive, militaristic design by Espen Øino, Skat boasts a vibrant, clean interior by Marco Zanini, along with amenities like a gym, library, and a spacious beach club with a dive store. Notable for its bridge deck offering a 270-degree view, creating a unique 'conservatory effect', Skat was last sold in 2021 for a reported €49,500,000. Prior to this, in January 2024, Skat underwent a substantial, phased refit at STP Shipyard Palma, where updates were made to its sundeck area and Jacuzzi.
