The IIFA Awards 2024 have officially commenced in Abu Dhabi, and the city is abuzz with anticipation as some of Bollywood’s most prominent stars converge for a weekend filled with festivities, music, and the allure of the green carpet. The star-studded press conference, graced by actors such as Vicky Kaushal, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rana Daggubati, has set the stage for what is expected to be an unforgettable weekend.
One of the highlights of the event was Kaushal, who captivated the audience by performing his viral hit Tauba Tauba live on stage. Known for his charisma and dance skills, Kaushal went a step further by inviting an audience member to join him and teaching them the iconic dance moves from the song, eliciting cheers from the crowd. Shahid Kapoor, who joined Kaushal on stage, couldn’t resist praising his talent and affinity for Punjabi music.
Kaushal reminisced, “My first-ever best actor award was with IIFA. I hosted IIFA last time, and I'm hosting this time as well. But this time it's even more special because I'm hosting with the most special human being, and that's Shah Rukh Khan.” Kaushal's admiration for the Bollywood legend continued as he explained the story behind his stylish sunglasses: “Of course, these sunglasses I'm wearing are part of vanity because we all love vanity as actors, but it also comes because of working with a man who works 24 hours straight, and that's Shah Rukh Khan, sir. A couple of hours before, we were rehearsing on stage for our show, and that's why I'm wearing glasses, so you don't think I was partying all night!”
The energy at the press conference was electric as the stars expressed their enthusiasm for the IIFA weekend. Kaushal conveyed his appreciation for the affection and support the actors receive from Abu Dhabi. “Looking forward to just having a great time. We always receive so much love from Abu Dhabi, and it's only multiplying each time,” he said, setting the tone for a grand weekend brimming with star power, performances, and memorable moments.
