Middle-order batsman Sanju Samson scored a quick 58 off 45 deliveries and seamer Mukesh Kumar claimed 4-22 as India beat Zimbabwe by 42 runs at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday, sealing a 4-1 series win in their five-match T20 International series.

Opting to bat first, a young India side, missing several key players, posted 167 for six in their 20 overs. They then restricted Zimbabwe to 125 all out to secure a comfortable victory. Samson hit four sixes and was the only Indian batter to make a significant contribution. Shivam Dube scored a rapid 26 off 12 balls before being run out.

Zimbabwe were still in contention at 85 for three in the 13th over, but lost four wickets for just 12 runs, losing their momentum. Their collapse began with the dismissal of top scorer Dion Myers, who made 34 off 32 balls. Kumar was the standout bowler for the tourists, achieving career-best figures, while fellow seamer Shivam Dube took 2-25 in four overs.
