India's foreign ministry stated on Thursday that it is incumbent upon Bangladesh's ex-prime minister Sheikh Hasina to advance her future plans, noting that no updates were available on the subject.
"It is not suitable to discuss her plans," remarked spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal. Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in a post on X earlier in the day, disclosed that he had conversed with Britain's foreign secretary, focusing on "the conditions in Bangladesh and West Asia."
Hasina sought refuge in India subsequent to her resignation as prime minister on Monday, amidst violent protests calling for her departure, and has been residing at an air base close to New Delhi since then.
