Relief efforts by the Indian Navy are currently in full swing in response to the destruction caused by Cyclone Dana in Odisha. These efforts are centered around the immediate requirements of the affected villages, which include Kanhapur, Bagapatia, Barahipur, Magarkanda, Charigheria, and Satabhaya, as stated by the Indian Navy on Saturday.

Relief camps have been set up at Batipada and Talchua, offering crucial support to those affected by the cyclone. To meet the urgent need for sustenance, a total of 9,000 meals have been distributed to the impacted populations. In addition to food assistance, a medical camp has been established, providing essential medical care to around 400 individuals, ensuring that health issues are properly addressed during this crisis.

Recognizing the difficulties in accessing remote areas, two mobile relief teams have been deployed to ensure the distribution of meals and medical aid directly to the communities in need. Efforts to help the communities rebuild their lives post-Cyclone Dana are ongoing.
