The hospital confirmed on Sunday that the 64-year-old actor is believed to be suffering from a viral respiratory infection. The hospital's statement detailed, "We have examined Mr. Mohanlal, a 64-year-old male, who is experiencing high-grade fever, breathing difficulties, and generalized myalgia. He is suspected to have a viral respiratory infection and has been prescribed medication along with five days of rest, and advised to avoid crowded places." Mohanlal is currently on the path to recovery and has been instructed to steer clear of crowded environments to facilitate his healing.
On the professional front, Mohanlal is gearing up for the launch of his eagerly awaited film, 'L2: Empuraan'. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, this film is a sequel to the 2019 hit 'Lucifer'. In 'L2: Empuraan', Mohanlal resumes his role as Khureshi-Ab'raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally.
