Indian chess prodigy Gukesh Gommaraju made history on Thursday by becoming the youngest undisputed world chess champion. The 18-year-old achieved this feat by defeating China's Ding Liren in the final match of their series held in Singapore. The International Chess Federation announced on social media platform X that Gommaraju is now "the YOUNGEST WORLD CHAMPION in history." This milestone was reached after Ding resigned during a thrilling endgame that was initially expected to result in a draw.
