An IndiGo flight was rerouted to Ahmedabad on Wednesday following a security-related alert. The flight, which was en route from Mumbai to Delhi, was diverted as a precautionary measure, according to a spokesperson for IndiGo. The aircraft was subsequently isolated, and all passengers were safely disembarked.
In a similar incident on Tuesday, an IndiGo flight bound for Lucknow from Dammam in Saudi Arabia was redirected to Jaipur due to a security alert. The Jaipur police reported that a bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) along with sniffer dogs thoroughly inspected the plane, but no suspicious objects were found.
These incidents are part of a recent series of bomb threats targeting Indian airlines. Authorities have recorded more than 10 such threats over the past few days, many of which were posted on social media by unverified users whose accounts have since been suspended. In response to these escalating security concerns, India's aviation authorities are holding a high-level meeting today to address the matter.
