Christopher Nolan's sci-fi masterpiece Interstellar is marking its 10th anniversary with a special collector's edition on 4K Blu-ray. The Interstellar 10th Anniversary Limited Edition features an oversized box packed with various physical collectibles, including a brand-new special feature. You can preorder this limited edition on Amazon for $67, with a release date set for December 10.

This new edition includes numerous physical collectibles and departs from the usual steelbook trend, opting instead for a fold-out slipcase that houses three discs: 4K Blu-ray, 1080p Blu-ray, and a disc dedicated to special features. Earlier this month, Walmart had listed a reprint of the exclusive Interstellar Steelbook Edition, originally available only at Target in 2014, but the listing has since been removed.

The bonus content is extensive, offering over three hours of additional material, including the new retrospective documentary, The Future Is Now: A Look Back at Interstellar. This release also includes all the bonus features from the 2017 4K Blu-ray edition. Interstellar stands out as a prime example of how physical media can provide a superior experience compared to digital copies or streaming services like Paramount+.

If you don't already own Interstellar on 4K, it's available on Amazon for $23.70. While you won't get the new documentary or collectibles, you'll still have access to hours of bonus content. Released after Nolan's work on the Dark Knight trilogy, Interstellar is a thought-provoking film that explores humanity's potential future in space. Starring Matthew McConaughey and a stellar ensemble cast, the film offers a grounded take on space exploration, the dangers of outer space, and even a touch of time-travel.

Globally, Interstellar grossed around $700 million at the box office, a notable achievement for an original film in an era dominated by Marvel movies, remakes, and sequels. The cast also includes Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, John Lithgow, Michael Caine, Timothée Chalamet, Ellen Burstyn, Bill Irwin, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, and Casey Affleck.

For those looking to expand their collection of Nolan's films, many are available in 4K formats. Notably, Oppenheimer, which won Best Picture at the 2024 Oscars, is getting a Walmart-exclusive steelbook edition on November 19.
