Iran and Iraq have suspended all flights until further notice, following Israel's announcement of conducting strikes against Iranian military targets on Saturday.

"Flights on all routes have been cancelled until further notice," a spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Organisation stated, as reported by Iran's official IRNA news agency.

Iraq's transport ministry also halted flights across all airports until further notice, citing "regional tensions," according to the Iraqi state news agency INA.

Israel's strikes in Iran were a response to an Iranian missile attack on Israel earlier this month. "In response to months of continuous attacks from the regime in Iran against the State of Israel – right now the Israel Defense Forces (Israeli military) is conducting precise strikes on military targets in Iran," the Israeli military said in a statement.
