Iran's foreign ministry stated on Tuesday that the calls for restraint concerning Israel from France, Germany, and Britain are devoid of political logic and conflict with the principles of international law.

The three European nations released a statement on Monday urging Iran and its allies to avoid attacks on Israel after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, in Tehran last month. Tehran, along with Hamas and the Lebanese Shi'ite group Hezbollah, has blamed Israel for the assassination, although the Israeli government has not claimed responsibility.

Kanaani remarked that the E3 statement, without addressing the crimes of the Zionist regime (Israel), audaciously demands that Iran not respond to an infringement on its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kanaani emphasized that Tehran is resolute in deterring Israel and urged Paris, Berlin, and London to finally oppose the war in Gaza and Israel's warmongering.
