Is the automotive price bubble on the verge of bursting? We've witnessed significant price hikes from automakers for 2025, but Jeep is taking a different route with the Grand Cherokee. Almost all trim levels have seen a reduction compared to last year, with some models now $4,000 less expensive. This price cut is exclusive to the 2025 Grand Cherokee Overland and Summit, which now starts at $66,835 for the flagship Summit Reserve trim with three-row seating. This makes it the priciest Grand Cherokee outside the hybrid lineup. On the lower end, the entry-level Laredo A remains at $38,290, but the standard Laredo and Laredo X have both dropped by $1,000. Consequently, the entire Laredo lineup now begins under $40,000, including Jeep's $1,795 destination fee. The Altitude trim has also decreased by $1,000, and the Limited trim by $3,000.

Below is a breakdown of the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee prices by trim. All prices listed are for two-wheel drive, two-row models unless otherwise specified. Adding four-wheel drive or three-row seating costs an additional $2,000, except for the Laredo X, where three-row seating is only $1,750 extra. All prices include the destination charge. Jeep hasn't announced any significant changes to options or standard equipment for 2025. The 3.6-liter V-6 with an eight-speed automatic remains the standard powertrain, although the V-8 option is officially discontinued for the three-row Cherokee L. The price reduction seems to be a goodwill gesture from Jeep, as their press release only mentions "enhanced affordability" for these changes. A company spokesperson reinforced this statement when contacted by Motor1.

Regarding the Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid, prices remain unchanged from last year. All trim levels, from the standard 4xe to the Summit Reserve 4xe, are identical. These are all two-row SUVs with four-wheel drive, and prices include the same $1,795 destination charge.

"The Jeep brand is committed to providing an unparalleled combination of off-road capability, choice, and value," said Bob Broderdorf, senior vice president of Jeep North America. "By making the 2025 Grand Cherokee more affordable, including all Laredo models under $40,000 MSRP, the Jeep ownership experience of the most awarded SUV ever is now even more accessible."
