Israel recently provided the US with a document outlining its conditions for a diplomatic resolution to end the war in Lebanon, according to Axios, which cited two US officials and two Israeli officials. The list of demands includes Israel's air force being granted freedom of operation in Lebanese airspace, and permission for its military to engage in 'active enforcement' to prevent the Lebanese group Hezbollah from rearming. Axios quoted one US official as stating that it is highly improbable that Lebanon and the international community would accept Israel's conditions to end the conflict, which began after Hezbollah supported Hamas in the ongoing war in Gaza. In the meantime, the White House special envoy Amos Hochsteien is scheduled to visit Beirut on Monday to discuss a diplomatic solution to the conflict, the report added.
