An Israeli-Moldovan dual citizen residing in the United Arab Emirates has been unaccounted for since Thursday, according to a statement released by the Israeli prime minister's office on Saturday.
The statement also revealed that an investigation has been initiated following the disappearance of Zvi Kogan, who is identified as an envoy of Chabad, an Orthodox Jewish organization with a global presence. Chabad is known for its focus on engaging with non-affiliated and secular Jews, as well as other branches of Judaism through community events and interactions.
The UAE foreign ministry has yet to respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
