An Israeli strike hit Beirut's southern suburbs on Monday evening, according to a security source who spoke to Reuters. The source noted that it was not immediately clear what type of strike was used or what was targeted.
Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad reported that the death toll from Israeli strikes on Monday had risen to 274, marking the bloodiest daily toll in nearly a year of cross-border clashes. Abiad detailed that the casualties included 21 children and 39 women, with thousands of families displaced from the targeted areas. Additionally, two rescuers were among the dead, and 16 emergency workers were wounded. Abiad also mentioned that two ambulances, a fire truck, and a medical center were targeted.
