Four Syrian civilians lost their lives and at least five Lebanese individuals were injured in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese health ministry on Thursday.

This attack follows Israel's military declaration on Tuesday evening that it had eliminated Fuad Shukr, identified as Hezbollah's highest-ranking commander, whom they held responsible for a recent assault that resulted in the deaths of a dozen young people in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Hezbollah's leader has stated that the group will assuredly retaliate for Israel's action if its senior commander is killed on Thursday.
