Shagadellic. Jacob Elordi unveiled a striking new appearance as he strolled the red carpet at the Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco on Friday. The 27-year-old 'Saltburn' star showcased a full beard and a shaggy '70s-inspired hairdo, which starkly contrasted with his usual look.
Elordi's dark brown hair was styled with a center part and pushed back. His beard, robust and rugged, was more unkempt than neatly trimmed, and it was a few shades lighter—and redder—than his hair. Elordi is in Morocco as a jury member for the Marrakech film festival. He chose a wide-leg black shawl collar tuxedo without a bowtie, accessorized with a frog brooch that seemed to climb his lapel as he walked the carpet for the Opening Ceremony and screening of 'The Order.'
Starring Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult, 'The Order' revolves around a series of violent robberies in the Pacific Northwest that lead veteran FBI agent Terry Husk (Law) to a white supremacist group plotting to overthrow the US government. Elordi was joined on the red carpet by fellow jury members Santiago Mitre, Nadia Kounda, Virginie Efira, Luca Guadagnino, Zoya Akhtar, Patricia Arquette, Andrew Garfield, and Ali Abbasi.
The Australian actor was spotted in Venice in early October with the beginnings of a mustache and a hint of a mullet. He has previously grown a 'sexy little dirtbag mustache.' In 2023, Elordi's 'babygirl' vibes caught fans' attention when he stepped out with a mustache, wearing what some online saw as his interpretation of Princess Di's athleisure.
Fans were split over Elordi's new look, with some claiming he was unrecognizable. One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), 'i refuse to believe that it's him.' 'No way that's him,' another commented. 'I didn't even recognize him!' someone shared.
Some speculated that the grooming change was for a new role. 'Just so you know, this new look is for a movie role! It's all for the character, so no need to worry. Let's trust the process,' someone wrote. Another commenter suggested, 'he's no beating playing one of the beatles allegations,' referring to the upcoming Beatles biopic.
However, many fans appreciated Elordi's new hairy vibe. 'Comments saying they got the ick when he looks infinitely better like this?' one perplexed fan posted. 'He knows he looks good,' an Elordi lover added. 'The playboy is a man now,' a person on X wrote, adding a fire emoji.
