Jacob Trouba's tenure on Broadway has come to an end. The Rangers defenseman was traded to the Ducks on Friday, as reported by The Post's Larry Brooks, marking the conclusion of a tumultuous months-long relationship between the captain and the team.

In exchange for the veteran blueliner, the Rangers received defenseman Urho Vaakanainen and a fourth-round pick, with Anaheim agreeing to pick up Trouba's full salary. The 30-year-old reportedly vetoed a trade to the Red Wings earlier this summer, and his $8 million cap hit over the next two seasons, combined with the Rangers' lackluster start, made him a prime candidate for a move.

Earlier in the day, The Post learned that Trouba would not play against the Penguins on Friday night, with Victor Mancini being recalled from AHL Hartford to fill his spot. This trade could be just the beginning for GM Chris Drury, who has signaled his willingness to make further changes to his underperforming roster.

Over his five-plus seasons with the Rangers, Trouba recorded 31 goals and 136 points in 364 games, often polarizing fans with his borderline hits.
