Jamie Foxx is speaking out about his recent health scare. On Monday, the 56-year-old actor shared snapshots from his one-man show, 'One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx,' which took place in Atlanta over the weekend. 'God is good... As I post these pictures, my heart and soul are filled with pure joy... On October 3rd and 4th, I had the chance to tell my story, and there was no better place than Atlanta, Georgia,' he wrote in the caption.

He added, 'I must thank Atlanta for showing up and showing out. I hadn't been on stage in 18 years, but I needed the stage and an audience full of love, and that's exactly what I got.' The Oscar-winning actor and musician clarified that his performance was not a stand-up comedy show but 'an artistic explanation of something that went terribly wrong.' One photo showed him playing the piano, a skill he honed while portraying Ray Charles in the 2004 movie 'Ray.' Another photo captured him hugging a fan.

Foxx continued, 'But thanks to the great people in Atlanta, especially Piedmont Hospital, you enabled me to return to the stage and do what I love most... #nobaddays as my friend James would say #secondchance thank you ATLANTA,' he concluded, accompanied by heart and peach emojis for Georgia. In the photos, Foxx appeared emotional, wiping his eyes. Foxx has been slowly making his way back into the spotlight since his unspecified health crisis in April 2023, which forced him to step away from filming a movie and hosting the Fox game show, 'Beat Shazam.' His daughter Corinne, who co-hosted 'Beat Shazam' with him, also took a break.

At the time, Corinne shared on social media that her father had 'experienced a medical complication' but 'due to quick action and great care, he was already on his way to recovery.' In April 2024, Foxx revealed to a group in Phoenix that he was hospitalized after taking Advil for a 'bad headache.' 'I was gone for 20 days,' he explained, admitting he 'doesn't remember anything' about the incident. Foxx has not disclosed the specifics of his health crisis but walked his daughter Corinne down the aisle at her wedding to Joe Hooten last month. He also returned to hosting Fox's musical game show 'Beat Shazam' with Corinne, while Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne temporarily filled in during his absence.
