Jamie Foxx is making a comeback. On Friday, Netflix unveiled the teaser for the comedian's upcoming comedy special, 'Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…,' set to premiere on December 10. In the 18-second teaser, Foxx can be heard saying, 'I said, 'If I can stay funny, I can stay alive.' I'm back.'

This announcement follows a report where the 'Soul' actor reportedly mentioned Sean 'Diddy' Combs' involvement in his hospitalization last year, which occurred during the filming of a Netflix show. However, accounts from three eyewitnesses who attended Foxx's comedy show tapings differ on what was actually said.

Earlier this month, videographer Choke No Joke, who attended two of Foxx's three shows on October 4, 5, and 6 at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, told Comedy Hype that Foxx claimed 'Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs].' Choke added, 'I don't think he was joking.'

Another attendee, security guard Big Homie .CC, alleged in an interview that he had insider information about Combs poisoning Foxx, leading Foxx to report him to the FBI. However, a third audience member, Dennis L.A. White, claimed Foxx said, 'People keep asking me if Diddy was responsible. He was not responsible. If he was, I would've been dead.'

In 2023, Foxx's daughter Corinne Foxx disclosed that her father had 'experienced a medical complication.' By May, she confirmed he had been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. Foxx himself addressed his health in a July Instagram video, stating, 'I'm not paralyzed. But I went to hell and back, and my road to recovery had some potholes as well. But I'm coming back, and I'm able to work.'
