Jennifer Garner will forever embody the spirit of being thirty, flirty, and thriving. She recently showcased this with a fitting outfit. Garner, now 52, shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday, where she recreated the iconic getting-ready scene from the 2004 romantic comedy, “13 Going on 30.” The video featured Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” playing in the background, just as it did in the movie. Garner, dressed in a white silk robe, applied lip gloss, cream, powder, and eyeliner. She humorously zoomed in to reveal that the moisturizer was actually retinol cream and used her glasses to assist with the eye makeup application.

The actress, known for her role as Jenna Rink in the film, then moved to her closet, appearing puzzled as she pulled out a pair of Spanx. It was time for a wardrobe change, and Garner donned the same vibrant dress that Jenna wore to her work party in the movie. However, this time, she opted for more comfortable footwear, choosing white socks, dark pink sneakers, and a grey crossbody bag. Garner also wore the same butterfly necklace that her character wore in “13 Going on 30.” She spun around in her bathroom, admiring her reflection in the mirror before heading out.

“Happy 20th Halloween, Jenna Rink,” Garner captioned her post. Fans quickly filled the comments section with their approval and shared their own experiences. One fan commented, “You clearly love this character. A lot! Why haven’t we gotten a sequel?” Another fan wrote, “Love it. The glasses putting on the eyeliner is the best,” while another added, “And you haven’t aged a day!” One user even referenced Jenna Rink’s candy choice in the film, asking, “Please tell me there are Razzles in your purse. #theyreacandyandagum.”

“13 Going on 30,” which also stars Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer, and Christa B. Allen, tells the story of unpopular Jenna, who, on her 13th birthday, wishes to be “30, flirty, and thriving.” She wakes up as her future 30-year-old self, living the life she believes she always wanted. In April, Garner, Ruffalo, and Greer celebrated the film’s 20th anniversary. They posted a video chat on their Instagram accounts, titled “13 Going on Boomer.” The caption read, “#13GoingOn30. Twenty years. We are three Boomers braving zoom—because we want to thank you. To every person who has loved this movie along with us: Thank You. We see you, we appreciate you and we love you back. Forever thirty, flirty and thriving!”
