In light of the recent excitement surrounding Rayhan Thomas in the UAE and the broader golf community, we spoke with his new management team at JMC Sport, consisting of Mitchell Tweedie, Chief Operating Officer, and Henry Todd, Player Manager. JMC Sport, a sports management firm specializing in representing professional athletes, is committed to expanding Rayhan's opportunities, overseeing his schedule, and elevating his profile both on and off the course. Their extensive knowledge of golf and industry relationships could greatly aid Rayhan's career progression. Henry, who played college golf in the US and competed professionally on the PGA Tour Latin America, and Mitchell, from Hollywood in Northern Ireland, who has been involved with golf his entire life, are both enthusiastic about the sport.

"We are a team of young, like-minded individuals who are passionate about golf," Henry shared with Khaleej Times. "We are a boutique sports agency managing professional golfers across various tours worldwide. We specialize in golf." He further explained, "Our role involves guiding our clients' careers, particularly in the challenging transition from amateur to professional golf." JMC Sport currently represents a diverse roster of players, including Erik Van Rooyen from South Africa, Tom McKibbin from Northern Ireland, Sebastian Söderberg from Sweden, Gavin Green from Malaysia, Chase Hanna from the US, Mark Power from Ireland, and now Dubai-born Rayhan Thomas. They cover a broad spectrum of regions and talents.

Henry continued, "We have our main offices in New York and Ireland, but we rarely spend much time there as we are often traveling. Rayhan approached us for assistance; we have known him for a long time and frequently visit the Middle East, attending tournaments in the region and maintaining a robust network of contacts both locally and internationally." JMC Sport offers comprehensive services including sponsorship, tournament invitations, travel and accommodation, and visa assistance. "Our philosophy is to take care of the player's needs so they can focus solely on playing golf and competing to the best of their ability," Mitchell explained.

"We have known Rayhan for a long time. He has had a robust finish to his college career. Since he joined us, we have been handling a lot of administrative tasks, especially visa support," Mitchell noted. "His injury in 2023, while unfortunate, provided him with a chance to step back from constant playing and reflect from a different perspective," he added. "We are preparing him for the future. He has already achieved victory on the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), which is an excellent beginning. Rayhan will be participating in the Qualifying Schools for the DP World Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and Asian Tour. At the start of a career, it's important to explore all available options," Mitchell continued.

"We are eager to collaborate with the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) and Vice-Chairman General Abdullah Alhashmi to explore mutual assistance opportunities. It's a relationship-driven industry." Mitchell also highlighted, "Given Rayhan's roots in Dubai, he has a strong following and extensive connections in both India and the Middle East." "We have high expectations for Rayhan and are excited to witness his career growth. We appreciate the media in the UAE for enhancing his profile," Mitchell concluded. "We are all optimistic about Rayhan's promising future."
