John Cena, a 16-time WWE Champion and Hollywood actor, visited India in July 2024 to attend the wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. He spent a brief time in Mumbai but made sure to immerse himself in Indian culture, particularly through local cuisine. In a conversation with ANI via Zoom, Cena reminisced about savoring Indian dishes at the Ambani wedding. He humorously noted his need to improve his tolerance for spices. "The Ambani wedding featured a variety of cuisines, but they also excelled in Indian and street food. The food was fantastic. My stay was short... I would love to return and try more Indian food. The spice level was just right, enough to make me sweat a little. I'm eager to test my spice tolerance next time. I look forward to coming back soon," Cena joked.

Cena attended the wedding of Anant and Radhika on July 12, wearing a powder blue traditional sherwani. On the red carpet, he performed his iconic 'you can't see me' pose, blending his wrestling persona with the wedding festivities. Meanwhile, on the acting front, Cena is set to appear in Amazon Prime Video's film Jackpot!, co-starring Awkwafina. Set in Los Angeles in 2030, Jackpot! revolves around Katie (Awkwafina), a struggling actress who wins the lottery but doesn't realize that California law allows others until sundown to kill the winner and claim the prize without legal repercussions. Cena plays an amateur lottery protection agent who helps Katie stay alive, getting a share of the winnings if she survives, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Speaking about working with Awkwafina, Cena said, "Awkwafina is incredible, and her comedic style is amazing. The atmosphere she creates on set... she's a joy to work with. She's fantastic." The film is scheduled to release on Prime Video on August 15.
