Olympic gold medalist gymnast Jordan Chiles expressed her excitement about potentially joining one of the most popular real estate shows on television. Chiles, 23, shared with The Post that she would be "literally crying" if invited to appear on her favorite reality series, "Selling Sunset." The show aligns perfectly with her future plans, as she recently disclosed her intention to pursue a career in real estate after her gymnastics career.
"I do want to go into real estate," Chiles told The Post at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit 2024 in Beverly Hills. "That is something that I do want to do. I’ve been involved in the business side with my mom, so I’m exploring my options and seeing what else I can contribute. I believe not everyone has to be confined to one area of their life; they can be creative in various ways."
Regarding reality TV, Chiles is a huge fan of the Oppenheim Group stars. "If I was on 'Selling Sunset,' I would literally cry because I love those people so much," she said. "I’ve watched every season, and they have different personalities, but if they want me as a guest, I will be a guest." When asked about becoming a full-time cast member once she obtains her real estate license, Chiles responded, "We’ll see. I don’t know yet."
Chiles, who contributed to Team USA’s gold medal win in the women’s gymnastics team all-around at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, also discussed with The Post where she keeps the bronze clock necklace given to her by Flavor Flav at the 2024 MTV VMAs. "The bronze clock is in a theater room in Texas, alongside my world and Olympic medals, which are very valued," she said.
Flav was one of Team USA’s biggest supporters at the Summer Games and sponsored the US women’s water polo team’s Olympic bid. "That was definitely an amazing moment," Chiles said about receiving the bronze clock. "I wasn’t expecting it at all. I was just very happy to be in the presence of Flavor Flav." Flav presented Chiles with the custom bling after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that the judging panel improperly granted an inquiry that moved Chiles up from fifth place and improved her score by one-tenth of a point. However, this came four seconds after the time limit for such inquiries had expired, resulting in Chiles placing fifth. The dispute over the medal is ongoing.
Chiles recently reunited with Flav in Atlanta for Black Entrepreneurs Day. "I was in my room, and Flav was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re here. I didn’t know you were coming to this,’" Chiles told The Post. "So we had the opportunity to see each other again." Additionally, the Olympian is set to release her first memoir, "I’m That Girl," in March, which will provide fans with "an explanation of who Jordan Chiles is."
