Jordanian authorities have initiated an investigation into a shooting incident on the opposite side of the King Hussein crossing, commonly referred to as the Allenby Bridge, according to a statement from the interior ministry on Sunday. This follows the announcement of three Israeli civilians being killed in the attack.

The King Hussein bridge crossing, which connects with the occupied West Bank, has been temporarily closed as authorities probe the incident, a Jordanian official informed Reuters. The event took place in a commercial cargo area under Israeli jurisdiction where Jordanian trucks unload goods destined for the occupied West Bank from the kingdom.
