Josh Hill (Eng) is set to maintain his summer tournament agenda in the United States. Born in Dubai, the 20-year-old recently competed in the Amateur Championship in Ireland and the St Andrews Links Trophy in Scotland. Currently enrolled at the University of Tennessee on a golf scholarship, Josh has resumed his activities in the US and plans to take part in several top-tier amateur competitions. After a challenging 2023 season marked by injuries, Josh appears to have regained both his confidence and fitness, setting the stage for a crucial 2024 summer. He is part of the 14-member England Men’s National Squad for 2024, which includes six UK-based players and eight college players in the US. “We don’t get to visit England often, so England Golf offers coaching and additional support for us college golfers in the US,” Josh explained. He will compete in the 124th US Amateur Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, from August 12th to 18th, 2024. The local qualifying rounds for the US Amateur will be held between June 4th and July 3rd, with the final qualifying rounds taking place from July 15th to July 31st. For 2024, the qualifying process has been adjusted: there are now 45 local qualifying sites and 19 final qualifying sites, each consisting of 18-hole rounds.
