Trump found himself in a tight spot as Hawkins won two consecutive frames, narrowing the gap to just one frame. However, the world No 1 seized the opportunity when Hawkins missed a red, capitalizing with a 67 break that ultimately secured a 10-8 victory.
This hard-fought win not only marked Trump's first UK Championship title since 2011 but also his 30th ranking tournament victory, further cementing his illustrious career.
