Jumeirah Golf Estates welcomed the July OMA Emirates Medalford event on the Earth course, featuring more than 50 golfers competing in a strokeplay format.
Russell Wilson claimed the top net prize at the OMA Emirates Medalford, edging out Oliver Turnbull on countback with a net score of -3 (69). Wilson's performance included six birdies and a net eagle on the 12th hole. In Division A, Oliver Turnbull emerged victorious with a net score of -3, surpassing Gary Williams by two strokes, while Anand Rajagopal secured third place with a net score of +1. In Division B, James Plackett triumphed over Edward McCullagh by three strokes, finishing with a net score of -3, and Rony El Haber took third place with a net score of +5.
JJ O’Toole secured the gross strokeplay title with a score of +1, fending off a strong challenge from Louis Prosser who ended with a score of +4. Jane Vorster won the Ladies’ prize with a net score of +4, Richard McGlave claimed the Senior’s prize with a net-level par, and Sam Collier earned the Junior’s net prize. Rory Woodland won the Stableford competition with an impressive 37 points, while Jamie Snowdon followed closely with 35 points.
The competition utilized the Tournament Tee markers for men and the Orange Tee markers for women, with a 95% Course Handicap allowance. The day's standout moment came from Gary Williams, who achieved a remarkable hole-in-one on the par-3 6th hole.
