K-pop sensation Jungkook, whose full name is Jeon Jung-kook, has an exciting surprise for his fans this coming September. His documentary titled 'I Am Still' will be screened in cinemas throughout the UAE.
This film serves as a video diary chronicling the life of the pop star since the release of his single 'Seven,' which featured rapper Latto. Upon its debut, the song broke streaming records, becoming the fastest to reach a billion streams on Spotify.
The documentary includes exclusive, previously unseen footage and interviews, along with electrifying live performances. It explores Jungkook's creative process, relentless work ethic, and the unique challenges he faces as a global superstar. The film provides a personal glimpse into the journey behind his solo debut, which highlighted the peak of his artistic abilities and propelled him to international fame, according to a statement from his record company, BigHit.
The over one-minute-long trailer for the eagerly awaited documentary shows Jungkook preparing for his concert and discussing his album and BTS. It opens with him appearing anxious in his hotel room, stating, “I’m suddenly nervous. I’ll do my best, guys.” He questions whether he can gain recognition without the support of BTS.
The youngest member of the pop group BTS also reflects on his achievements in the clip, noting that his success has bolstered his confidence. During an interview, he admits, “I've never thought of myself as a genius. I just know the areas I lack in so I strive to be better too.” He also addresses his fans, known as ‘Army,’ saying, “I always say this but ARMY always fires me up. I just follow my own compass.”
'I Am Still' is set to premiere in UAE cinemas on September 18.
