The Karachi Stock Exchange announced on Monday that trading had been halted due to a fire in the building. According to a notice posted on its website, the KSE 100 index confirmed the suspension of trading, which has been extended until 12:25 p.m. (0725 GMT). The notice also stated that the situation is now under control, and staff from brokerage firms are beginning to return to the premises. Notably, the KSE has recently reached an all-time high, surpassing the 80,000-point mark.
