Introducing Karby. No, this isn't Kirby's cousin from New Jersey, but rather a typo of the pink puffball's name that found its way onto a hoodie in Japan. The typo has prompted a recall for the pink apparel featuring Kirby's face on the front and the incorrect name on the top of the hood.

Automaton noticed that Japanese clothing store Shimamura addressed the issue on X. The shop is reportedly offering refunds or exchanges for the hoodie with the Kirby typo, aimed at kids. However, some commenters speculate that the misspelling might turn the sweatshirt into a collector's item. Automaton also points out that the mistake isn't entirely unexpected, given that Kirby sounds more like Karby in Japanese.

In the US, Karby seems like a fitting name for the pink puffball after inhaling a car in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. But this could lead to complications, as the character might need a new name for every object he absorbs. Meanwhile, GameSpot's Eddie Makuch suggests that maybe Karby is a suitable nickname after the mascot indulges in too much pizza.

Speaking of the pink puffball, we think Kirby should be featured on Nintendo's recently unveiled clock, Alarmo. The soundtrack from Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe would be a perfect fit, for instance.
